CervoMed Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing treatments for age-related neurologic disorders, and is the successor to EIP Pharma Inc., which launched in 2014 and merged with Diffusion Pharmaceuticals in a transaction completed in late 2023 that created the present Nasdaq-listed entity. The company's sole clinical asset is neflamapimod, an orally administered, brain-penetrant small-molecule inhibitor of the p38 MAP kinase alpha isoform that targets neuroinflammation-induced synaptic dysfunction rather than amyloid or tau pathology directly. Neflamapimod is in mid-stage development across three distinct indications: dementia with Lewy bodies, where the Phase 2b RewinD-LB study is the lead program; nonfluent variant primary progressive aphasia, a frontotemporal dementia subtype associated with tau pathology; and recovery after ischemic stroke.
