Lifecore Biomedical is an integrated contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in the development and aseptic filling of complex sterile injectable drug products, and one of the leading United States manufacturers of pharmaceutical-grade sodium hyaluronate. Operating from a campus in Chaska, Minnesota, the company supplies hyaluronic acid and fill/finish capacity to biopharmaceutical and medical device customers, with particular strength in ophthalmic and orthopaedic applications. Founded in 1965, Lifecore was acquired by Landec Corporation in 2010 and later became the operating identity of the combined company. On September 28, 2026, Lifecore announced a definitive agreement to be acquired by Webster Equity Partners for $6.28 per share in cash plus one non-tradable contingent value right per share, a transaction valued at up to $663.7 million assuming full achievement of performance milestones.
