Compass Therapeutics is a clinical-stage, oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company developing antibody-based therapeutics. Its lead candidate, tovecimig, is a bispecific antibody targeting delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) that completed the Phase 2/3 COMPANION-002 study in previously treated, advanced biliary tract cancer. In September 2026 the FDA recommended that the company conduct a trial demonstrating an overall survival benefit before submitting a Biologics License Application; Compass said it does not believe a new trial is warranted, citing COMPANION-002 and the unmet need in the indication, and intends to proceed with its submission. The pipeline also includes CTX-471, a CD137 agonist antibody, CTX-8371, a bispecific targeting PD-1 and PD-L1, and CTX-10726, a bispecific targeting PD-1 and VEGF-A.
