Bionano Genomics develops optical genome mapping systems and genome analysis software used by cytogenetics and molecular genetics laboratories to detect structural variants that sequencing and microarrays routinely miss. Its Saphyr and Stratys instruments, Saphyr chips, DNA labeling and prep kits, Ionic purification system and VIA analysis software form a sample-to-result workflow, complemented by laboratory testing services that include OGM-Dx HemeOne for hematologic neoplasms, OGM-Dx FSHD, Fragile X testing, and chromosomal microarray and exome panels for developmental disorders. The company's reimbursement profile widened in September 2026, when wholly owned subsidiary Bionano Laboratories announced a proposed MolDX local coverage determination for genome-wide detection of copy-number alterations and structural variants in hematologic neoplasms, alongside a New York State approval of its clinical offering.
