ArriVent sheds nearly half of value on late-stage lung cancer miss
ArriVent shares fell sharply after a late-stage lung cancer trial miss.
ArriVent BioPharma, Inc. is a clinical-stage oncology company developing differentiated medicines for cancers with high unmet need. Its lead candidate, firmonertinib, is an oral, brain-penetrant EGFR inhibitor licensed from Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals and evaluated in the global pivotal FURVENT and ALPACCA studies in EGFR-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer; the company is also building a pipeline of next-generation antibody-drug conjugates. ArriVent went public on Nasdaq in February 2024 at $16.00 per share and reported $373.1 million in cash, cash equivalents and investments as of June 30, 2026, a runway it guides into 2028. In October 2026 the company disclosed that the Phase 3 FURVENT trial of firmonertinib in first-line EGFR exon 20 insertion mutant NSCLC did not meet its primary endpoint.
